LSD&FC provides support to the Nigeria Police in the following areas; crime scene investigation, evidence collection and transport, evidence examination, forensic serology and forensic DNA analysis and short-term storage of evidence.  LSD&FC has supported the following case types:

a) Homicide

b) Suicide

c) Attempted suicide

d) Rape

e) Child trafficking

f) Human body parts trafficking

g) Burglary

h) Forensic Toxicology

i) Alleged Poisoning

j) Property crimes

k) Crime scene investigation

l) Expert witness.
